Vanilla Milkshake Recipe

1 vanilla pod (bean)
1 2/3 cups whole milk (full cream)
1 cup light cream
4 scoops vanilla ice cream
Preparation Instructions:
Use a very sharp knife to score the vanilla bean down the center. Pour milk into a small to medium pan then add the vanilla pod (bean). Bring to a boil slowly. Remove the pan from the heat source. Let the milk stand and come to a cool temperature. Remove the vanilla bean from the milk. Scrape out the seeds and put into blender with the milk and cream. Blend together until well blended. Then add the scoops of vanilla ice cream. Again blend until smooth or the desired consistency. Pour and serve. Enjoy!
Additional/Optional Info:
If you would like this recipe to be a little smoother. Replace 1/2 the quanity of cream with quality milk.
Another alternative but not as good is to us vanilla essence instead of the real vanilla pod.
