Read further if you want to learn how a million dollar accident turned into a full time career and made a college student a multimillionaire in less than 3 years.

Timothy Sykes the author of the new book, An American Hedge Fund received $12,415 Bar Mitzvah Gift money at the age of 16 and turn it into of $1.65 million from 1999 to 2002 while attending college at Tulane University. He was studying Philosophy and Business. From that time he kept it in a standard savings account. When he was 18 he asked his parents to release the money so he could start investing it. The young student was in for the ride of his life. Although his parents thought the same thing but thought he would just learn a good lesson and loose all the money then focus on a regular college education and a regular job after. What fun a phone call that must have been for Tim, informing his parents that they no longer need to worry about his financial future.
While in school he was an avid tennis player, a very fortunate thing happened he got injured and was forced to focus his time in another areas of interest while he was healing. This is when he made the bulk of his money. This is why Tim's father calls it the " million dollar accident".

MDW: Tim what is your top 3 mixed drinks ?
Tim Sykes: As for drinks, when not trading, I believe in having a good time. I used be
a Jack and Coke man, but got a little too crazy with that stuff (like
playing Jack Pong instead of beer pong :) So now my top 3 drinks:
1. Ketel and Soda,"Perhaps the healthiest cocktail around, and I like mandarin flavored club soda, it's delicious! Ketel is by far my favorite vodka, although after a
tough day of trading, I try to save some money by going with Svedka--it's
great quality for the price".
2. Jägermeister and Red Bull also know as a Jager Bomb, "This is a drink I like to sip for hours. I know most people take it as a shot, but I enjoy the taste too much to take it down that quickly".
3. Margarita, "Smooth and relaxing, particularly satisfying after the markets close on a
Friday afternoons".
