Porsche has officially announced the confirmation that it will build a four-seat sport coupe. Projected release sometime in the ca lender year of 2009 (2010 model year). It is to be called the Panamera (rumored to be for the Carrera Panamericana race), but it will become the 4 th car in porsches production line Porsche 911, Porsche Cayenne, Porsche Boxster and Porsche Cayman. It is said that the platform is unique to porsche exclusively and they are not to share the development with any other manufacturer.

The new car will boast a V-8 engine which will be from the Cayenne. 340-horsepower standard and a 450 hp, 4.5 litter twin-turbo. The four-door Panamera's code name is E2B, and Porsche may design a sport-wagon variant off it.

The Panamera will be built at the Leipzig factory alongside the Cayenne, and sources are estimating an annual production of nearly 20,000 units. Most of those being sold in the US.

The new Panamera car will carry a hefty price tag of between $125000 to $175000 and for those of you that don't like this car so far. We left the best for last they are also going to make a production 2-door version of the car. The new coupe Panamera is instantly recognizable as a Porsche. Clean lines and front grill power. We love this new look.
