Jessica Simpson is in the beginning stages of recording a country album in Nashville.
The New project is something that she as always wanted to do but wanted to wait for the right timing. The project is set for a 2008 release.
Simpson said she would be involved in the creative process."Writing is a release for me," she said. "It's a way for me to tell my story.
That's not to say I wouldn't record a song that I didn't write." She also said "I think there is strength in female country artists," Some of her noted inspirations are Shania Twain, Martina McBride, Faith Hill and Reba McEntire.
This announcement is on the heels of her new movie Blonde Ambition which is in select theaters now and on the fast track to DVD. Coming to a video store soon!
